It was such a short train ride......
......why did I see so much that was wrong? People don't keep left riding up the escalator to the station, don't give way to alighting passengers when entering a train, crowd around the doors when they do get in, and when a small girl fell because the train stopped suddenly, everyone both standing and seated stared blankly.
No one offered a seat, while her father had to grapple with carrying the shocked little girl while holding on to a grab pole.
So much for a "gracious" society. I'm a first class citizen in a society like this.
I don't need grace like that. I'm wondering if it would be better to be a second class citizen someplace less "gracious".
When I got off the train I was in a pretty foul mood and plowed through the door hogs (on both sides of the door).
